Ansoff Matrix - Strategic Opportunity Model

- Manage risks and enjoy more of the opportunities

Recently I was looking at this matrix quite a bit.

A simple, intuitive and very inspiring model for business development thinking.

Shifting the product/market focus seems to be a must over the long term, for a company to stay on top and ahead of the business context change.

Once decided, it means new and more promises to the existing and new (areas’) customers.

To support this front-end shift, also to solidly fulfil the promises to the market where a company is hoping to establish itself, effective adjustments on operations, are required as an integral part of the move.

Changes bring opportunities also risks. To combat external uncertainties, internal certainty is where the strength comes from.

Where applicable, supply chain being a big part of the overall value chain, the solidity of this internal function contributes to the 4 business flows directly, i.e. material, information, financial and service.

Is your company already enjoying the smoothness of these flows?

Are you thinking of improving them for the strategic moves?

If you hope to find out how your supply chain can do more to support, pls don’t hesitate to reach out.
