Alongside the road, two people are working busily. One person is digging holes at every 3 feet distance. The other person is filling the holes one after another behind him.
A tourist watches the two sweating people for a while, cannot figure out what they are doing. So he walks over.
‘May I ask what are you doing? ‘
‘We are planting trees. I’m responsible for digging the holes. He’s responsible for filling them up. There is another person to put the trees in, but he’s on leave today. ‘
The tourist asked, ‘ Holes being dug then being filled up straight away. Isn’t that your work shall be in vain? ‘
The man commented, ‘Not at all. We are following the rules. And we are doing what we are supposed to do as per the arrangements.’
