One of the typical killers in many companies is the waste of resources (time, money and labor, etc) on ‘admin’ tasks.
In most business contexts, they are bridging the happening of one link to another, they are facilitating the next happening, or fulfilling the requirements of regulations. So they got ground to continue. And business got the ground to tolerate.
Most of the motivations (whys) for the admin work are valid.
It's the rest that is very questionable!
Admin tasks are everywhere in a typical business context, including supply chain!
Paperwork, manual data entry, email notification, meetings…
Targeting the fussy supply chain processes is one important part of our overall optimisation effort.
We streamline, simplify, and make sense of the arrangements for effectiveness, cost savings and efficiency.
Out of the same spirit, this month, our CRM is now connected with marketing/sales activities.
The CRM was already set up to reflect the sales funnel a while back.
But outreach, tracking and following up, these activities were killing time badly, also affected a lot my emotions😅 (which in turn affected the carrying on of these activities! 😂 ).
A lot of manual data transferring here and there.
A lot of 'remembering' to be in place...
I was running with square wheels!
To run a business seriously, we need to get smart.
So I studied, tested and the system has been up running over the past couple of weeks!
I think 65%+ of my daily input is cut off in comparison! And it’s running more solidly, without me getting in the way 😉.
The output is much better than my snail work before.
Let’s challenge the status quo and seek to be better!
