The former is the basis of the widely observed exclusive survival competition. The zero-sum game got a good support here.

The latter involves win-win, synergising for bigger better results for all.

Understanding both is important for risk management as well as growth development.

When a person or company only limits themselves to ‘survival’, they limit their choices to ‘killing’, which might not necessarily bring the biggest win to themselves in the long term.

Yet on the basis of ensured safety, if a person or a company masters the art of inclusiveness and synergy that gathers large numbers of talented supporters around, the growth this person or the company enjoys could be ‘viral’.
